To celebrate Christmas last year, Siena Literacy Center volunteers launched the first Gift of Reading event for children at a local child care center. Gift bags containing The 3 Little Kittens books, childrens mittens, treats, and SLC brochures for parents were distributed during this wonderful holiday party. Our hard-working TAG group (Volunteer Tutor Advisory Group) raised over $500 to cover the cost of gifts for 101 Hartford Memorial Baptist Head Start children. The donations came from volunteers/tutors, students and staff. Thank you everyone!!
